Blinding Glimpse of the Obvious: Dietary Edition

“Enjoy your food, but eat less.” Such is the latest advice of the U.S. Government in its latest nutrition guidelines to a largely obese population in its latest nutrition guidelines. (See New York Times article here.) So wait, neither fat nor carbs are the culprit in our diets?! Might excess calories actually be the root cause of our expanding waistlines? It’s following this basic principle that allowed me to drop over 40 pounds a couple of years ago and keep it off. Eating less is of course not quite as easy as it sounds, but if you’re looking for a somewhat structured way to accomplish this, I highly recommend Eat Stop Eat.
